I am a multi-passionate, feminist creative marketer who helps values driven business make money while making the world a better place. As an accomplished brand strategist, web designer and published author, I know a thing or twenty about helping businesses grow their online presence, wealth and impact in the world AND confidently take up space online.

If youâre already being bombarded with New Year business goal planning invites, let me be the one to whisper this instead:
⨠You donât have to have it all figured out by January 1st. â¨
Weâre heading into one of the busiest, buzziest seasons of the year, and if youâre anything like me, your nervous system is already raising an eyebrow at all the âget your goals in order!â energy.
Listen…I love a fresh start.
I also love realistic timelines, having a regulated nervous system, and not forcing myself to make big business decisions when Iâm deep in laundry piles and kid chaos (which is exactly what December looks like over here, even with less time at the rink).
So instead of business planning during the holidays, Iâm doing something different…
Iâm doing my planning…in late January.
Yup! A full month into the new year. Because by then the pressure fog has cleared, the inbox frenzy has died down, and I can actually hear my own thoughts again.
I actually got this idea from Lib Aubuchonâs FREE Solo Business Retreat Guide. You can grab it here if you’d like!
Did I mention it was free?!
Iâm taking it with me on a two-night business retreat with a biz bestie. No kids. No husbands. Just space to co-work, reflect, sip something warm, and maybe even think clearly for once. đ
Weâll be journaling, brainstorming, and setting gentle intentionsânot aggressive goalsâfor the year ahead.
If youâve been craving a reset without the rush, this might be your sign to not start planning for the New Year just yet!
Give yourself some space. Permission to rest. And when youâre ready to think dream again? That’s the time to start.
Because honestly?
đ A slow start doesnât mean a small year.
Sometimes, the best brands are built not in January…but in June. Or September. Or whenever you can exhale and say, âOkay, Iâm ready now.â
So if this year includes a rebrand, a new website, or a clearer way to share your secret ingredients (the stuff that makes you, YOU!)…let’s chat when youâre ready.
And heyâbefore you goâŚ
